Sustainable material

We chose to use Truegrass, a new and inspiring material from Taiwan.
Truegrass is made from30% grass fibers and 60% recycled plastic bottles.
The grass is a leftover product from the rice industry.
After harvest grasses are cut and made it into fibers.
Those fibers are mixed with recycled plastics from the food industry and become granulates.
The partner we work with, has a closed loop manufactory process.
Clever right?

The material is BPA & DEP free and non-toxic.

For the strength and best fit of the frame, we use stainless steel components.
The stainless steel sits within the temple and the hinges to open the temples.
The hinges are flex hinges. They can overbend by 11%.
Which brings comfort and durability to the frames.

Eco nylon lenses

The lenses are made from eco- polycarbonate; an ultra-resistant material based on caster-oli. They are protective, and covering 100% UV light.
Which means: UVA & UVB.

But we didn’t stop there.
We added a polarized filter, to eliminate glare and to keep things looking natural.

The lenses are conform the European standards: EN 1836:2005

Care instructions

The lenses loved to be cleaned once in a while, but be careful with rubbing sand and dirt on the lenses, just water and a clean cloth will do.
And for those oily sunscreen stains, it's best to add a drop of dishwashing liquid to a wet cloth.

Why aren’t you providing a cleaning cloth?
Most cleaning wipes are made of microfibers, and unfortunately do not contribute to improving our climate. We assume that you probably have a microfiber cloth at home, and therefore do not need to make one especially for you. If you do not have one, we will gladly send you an unbranded one.

Keep them on room temperature.
